The older she gets the more fun it gets! As Carla approaches her second birthday I'm amazed everyday by how much she is becoming a big girl. Here's what's going on in her world these days:
- She talks in sentences and you can have little conversations with her.
- She's getting into pretend play, especially playing with her baby dolls and stuffed animals making sure they are fed, diapers are changed, and they go to sleep.
- It's really fun to watch her play with her friends. She has tea parties, she's pretty good about sharing toys, and they have little conversations together, such as negotiating what they will play. And there is LOTS of giggling going on, especially with her girlfriends.
- If you sneeze, she says, "Bless you!"
- She can put her shoes on all by herself.
- She knows most of her colors, can count to 10, and can say the alphabet with a little help. Her favorite letters are "C for Carla," "M for Mama," and "O."
- She's gone peepee in the potty a couple times all by herself.
- She can ride her bike.
- She's good at climbing all sorts of things, such as ladders and climbing structures at the playground, and the tree in our backyard.
- She's noticing the differences between boys and girls. We were around her pal Sebastian when he was getting his diaper changed. She said, "Sebastian! Tail!" Oh my!

OMG she does look like such a big girl! That hair is gorgeous!!! And the tea parties.....so cute!
