Out to Dinner

Friday night was family date night for the three of us!  Yep, we went to a real restaurant.  Like the kind where you sit at a table and a waiter takes your order and serves you.  This is a big deal for us. 

We've discovered this fabulous Indian restaurant near our house that has become our new favorite.  It's called Bombay Bistro for all you Austin folks - the food is great, the decor is swanky, and the service is excellent.  AND the executive chef is from India where he coordinated a presidential banquet for Bill Clinton and now here he is in Austin, TX!

So tonight was actually our second time to go there.  The first time Carla, who is usually pretty happy around people, started crying hysterically when our waiter tried to make friends with her.  We think she was a little frightened by his full, dark beard.  Tonight when she saw our same waiter she didn't cry but gave him her serious look.  She's slowly warming up to him.  Guess we'll have to keep going back until she can give him a smile!

Mmmm....Indian food!
