Goodnight Moon
Goodnight Moon has become part of our bedtime ritual. We curl up together every night and I read the book while Carla Ann turns the pages. Little did I know that the words are starting to stick with her. When we get to certain words she will point to those objects in her room.
She says "sta" for stars...
She knows this is her bear...
And on a recent outing to Barnes & Noble she had tunnel vision for her favorite book making a mad dash to pick it up.
A couple days ago I ran to the grocery store in the evening and Frank put Carla Ann to bed. Getting her in her PJs has become quite the challenge since she is wiggles and wants to crawl all over the place. He said by the time he got them on they were both exhausted and frustrated. But as soon as Frank picked up Goodnight Moon she was a peaceful little angel and curled up on his lap for her favorite ending to the day.

she is one smart little girl! and so precious!
ReplyDeleteAwww sweet precious baby! What a great nighttime routine!
ReplyDeleteCarla has a Boston accent if she leaves the "r" off the word "star."
ReplyDeleteHer New England heritage shows through! See if she does the same with the word "ca" for "car."
