Jewish Community Center
We are the newest members of the Jewish Community Center! While chatting with other moms at our neighborhood playground I found out about this place. They have a great shaded baby pool, great kids programs and summer camps, a Masters swimming program that Frank likes to attend, lots of fun aerobics and yoga classes, and best of all - it's close to our house. Turns out that 2/3 of their members aren't even Jewish! Yesterday also just happened to be their annual Splash Dash and free open house. Off we went to check it out. We arrived and got a tour of the facility - gym, community room, track, etc. In the middle of the tour they took us to see the pool. Oh was Carla excited! She was pointing and squealing and saying "Doh!" Like I said, it was only the middle of the tour and they still had more to show us. Oh did she cry when we left the pool! We comforted her by saying we would go back to the pool after the tour and that seemed to calm her down. So when we finally made it to the pool and we went swimming she was in heaven! But when it came time to leave she was furious. I'm talking big time crying and screaming for at least 10 minutes. Is this the beginning stages of temper tantrums??

Oh my goodness gracious! Is that the saddest face ever? That's awesome that you discovered that place, sounds like lots of family fun!

ReplyDeleteUs too. There's one close to our house. The only down side are all the extra Jewish holidays which they close early. Is CA starting the terrible twos? I've heard they're not fun.
