What a great day! We wish Father’s Day was every day! It started off with presents. Carla Ann being the little sweetheart that she is created her first piece of art for her daddy. She attempted to cast her footprints in plaster while Grandma was here but they just didn’t turn out right. She moved onto Plan B which was to use paint to stamp her footprints on paper. With a little assistance from my pal Kristen she had much better success.
Next up on the agenda was a stroll around Lady Bird Lake. Carla Ann used the time to catch up on her beauty rest while Momma and Pappa enjoyed the exercise.
We worked up quite an appetite so we made a huge breakfast complete with waffles (my dad could make some mean waffles!) topped with fresh berries, fried eggs, and bacon. Yum! And check out Frank's snazzy new Father's Day shirt. Yep, it has a rooster on it. And Carla Ann has a cute ruffle butt thanks to cousin Lauren.
You can guess what came next. Nap time!
