Trip to Wisconsin

We traveled to Wisconsin the last weekend in August to visit Frank's parents and friends.  Carla Ann was a little angel on the flights and made all kinds of friends along the way.  I think this might be the ideal age to travel with babies.  She's perfectly happy to sit on our lap and the most interesting thing to her right now is a hand with fingers that wiggle.

Carla Ann and her adoring fans!

It so nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors.  The weather was amazing!  We spent lots of time on their back patio surrounded by their fabulous garden.  Carla Ann admired all the pretty flowers and plants.

One afternoon, Frank's high school wrestling coaches and their wives came over for lunch.  We also saw some of Frank's high school friends and their kids.

Carla Ann took her first taste of solid foods - peaches from Grandma and Grandpa's peach tree.  Yum!

In the mornings, her grandpa took her on walks and it was chilly outside!  She's wearing a hat knitted by Barbara that was Frank's when he was a kid.

Of course, we have our tradition of playing Scrabble.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
