All week Frank was back in San Francisco for his second week of training for the new job. It was just me and Carla Ann flying solo. And I gotta tell ya. She was one big sweetheart to her momma. She was just so happy and pleasant all week long! For my own sanity (and hers) we made it a point to do lots of fun things this week and to get out of the house at least once each day.
On Sunday we checked out the Botanical Garden and spent time hanging out on our front lawn.
On Monday she tried carrots and LOVED them.
On Tuesday we went to the movies and saw Contagion. Don't worry! I covered her eyes on the gross parts! Then that night we went to Girls Nite with Jen and Kristen. On Wednesday we made a trip to Hobby Lobby to get supplies for a project for a certain cousin of mine whose baby shower is coming up (Shout out to Lauren!). On Thursday some of my co-workers from Austin Child Guidance Center stopped by to give Carla hugs.
Then we went to the mall to meet up with my prenatal yoga friend Alexandra and her stylish daughter Camilla. This little bundle of cuteness already has her ears pieced and always leaves the house wearing a bow and bracelet.
On Friday we met up with my cousin Casey and her snuggle bunny son Judah. She's a master of the Moby wrap and it's this little guy's favorite place to be!
Today we were supposed to go to an art class for 0-2 year olds. I was soooo curious to see what type of art activities you can do with a 0 year old but, alas, the class was canceled. I had a minor panic on what we would do all day instead. I called my friend Kristen and said, "I don't care what you are doing today but can we join you?" She was out shopping and was so nice to let us tag along. Thank you! We even made a stop by REI where I drooled over their BOBs, the Cadillac of baby jogging strollers. Finger crossed that I can find a good used one on Craigslist!
Frank's plane is mere minutes from landing and we are so excited! Come on, Daddy!
OMG, what a fun week with you and your Lil Pardner! And everyday, she got a little bit cuter (if that is possible). Way to go on your awesome week, Carla Ann!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Can you believe she is the "big kid" in that picture??
Nice week of girl time! We've been rooting for Frank in his new job.
