Seven month old Carla Ann has her first 5K under her belt. She even has her very own race bib and number to prove it. This morning Frank, Carla Ann, my sister, my mom, and I participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure along with 22,000 other Austinites. It was great! It's always so inspiring to see all the pink. Carla Ann enjoyed checking out the people, listening to the music, and watching the cheering fans as she zoomed by. Okay, so maybe she wasn't going super fast since her mama isn't the fastest runner but our family of three finished together. Aunt Banana was super fast and she raced ahead leaving us to eat her dust. My mom set off to do the 1 mile walk and instead took a wrong turn and ended up walking the entire 3.1 miles. Way to go, Emmie!
In other news, Carla Ann is getting up on her hands and knees. Get ready world! This gal is preparing to crawl! Think she'll be doing it by Thanksgiving?
Hooray for Carla Ann's first Komen! She is definitely representing the pink...I love that big poofy flower on her head!
