San Antonio

This weekend we took a fun family trip to San Antonio.  That city is so fun and it's only an hour away! The whole time we were wondering why we don't go there more often.  We were fancy smancy staying at suite on the Riverwalk.  Okay, so it was only at the Drury Plaza Hotel but we were incredibly impressed with all the perks (free breakfast, free happy hour with appetizers, free popcorn in the afternoon, free wifi, a rooftop pool on the 23rd floor, and it's in a historic bank building!).

On Saturday we strolled the Riverwalk, checked out the Market, went to a park, toured the Spanish Governor's Palace, went to the Children's Museum, and swam at the hotel pool while the sun went down (oh, did I mention that the pool was located on the roof on the 23rd floor??).

On Sunday we went to the Zoo.  Carla was very mellow while we were there and was mostly content just lounging in her stroller, cuddling with lovey, sucking her two fingers, and occasionally checking out the animals.  But she did get VERY excited when she saw the African Wild Dogs.  She did lots of pointing and shouting in excitement.  So for her souvenir she got the African Wild Dog stuffed animal.  The whole ride back to Austin she was cuddling, hugging, and kissing her new friend.
