Carla Ann met more of her cousins today. My cousin Lea who lives in Valley Mills (outside of Waco) came down with her kids Reuben, Cooper, and Amelia and they picked up Aunt Danna in Temple. Great Grandma Laurie and Aunt Cherry also drove in from Houston. We were just sitting down for lunch when there was another knock at the door. Who could it be? Cousin Patti from Chicago! It was quite the surprise!
Great Grandma Laurie enjoyed all of her great grandkids at the same time.
The boys enjoyed eating the s’mores we had for dessert. Notice how younger brother Cooper gets messy while older brother Reuben prefers to eat his with a sponge nearby for easy clean-ups.
Amelia was wildly amused playing with the bag of baby wipes and Carla Ann was equally amused watching.
As if this wasn’t enough fun for one day I whisked Carla Ann off for her first Girls Nite. For 8 years now I’ve been getting together with my pals Kristen and Jen once a week, usually on Thursday nights, for dinner. Tonight we went to this great little hole-in-the-wall place called BB Rovers. It’s more of a bar than a restaurant but we really do go for the food! They make delicious sausage burgers but they were all out tonight. The chicken philly sandwiches were just as good but the company was even better.
