Change of Scenery

Last Thursday Miss Carla Ann was having a bit of a rough day.  She was fussy and crying and we couldn’t figure out why.  And it was just at the time that I was supposed to be at a grants meeting at Austin Child Guidance Center.  Luckily Frank wasn’t in meetings so he was able to watch her while I snuck away for an hour.  When I got home she was still fussing.  By late afternoon Frank and I were at our wits end and needed to get out of the house.  So we put her in her car seat and immediately she was calm and quiet.  We drove over so she could see her cousins.  Well, when we got there she was just smiling away at Eva, Matthew, and Elsa and being a perfect little angel.

Then on Friday Frank took a vacation day so instead of being cooped up in the house we took a little road trip.  We drove just East of Austin to look at the farms and ranches, headed East on 71, made our way through Bastrop, cut over to 290 via 21, went through Elgin, and then back to Austin.  Carla Ann was quite the little road tripper which is a good thing since we love to hit the open road.

So we learned something new.  It’s not just me and Frank who need a change of scenery sometimes.

I LOVE road trips!

**When I uploaded the pics they rotated sideways and I can't figure out how to fix.  If anyone has suggestions let me know...

  1. Glad she is following suit with her love for road trips! And wow, she already looks different since I saw her on Wednesday...

By the way, I think when you edit your pix, you can the select the rotate option.
